About Implus

Implus was founded in 1988 as Impact Plus, selling mail-order insoles. In 1991, we launched our first sports-specific insole line under Sof Sole and rolled out Sof Comfort insoles in Walmart footwear. We introduced the AirPlus brand in 1995 into the pharmacy sections of Food, Drug and Mass retail. 

In 2001, we rolled out our first line of shoe care and laces into the marketplace through the Sof Sole brand. AirPlus for Her, introduced in 2004, was the first footcare device line made specifically for women, followed by Apara in 2005, which brought the same female-specific concept into family footwear and specialty stores. Also in 2005, we launched our hosiery division, creating both performance and fashion socks. 

By this time, we had established ourselves as a one-stop shop for footwear accessories, footcare and hosiery, maximizing supply chain efficiency and increasing top line sales for our retail partners. 

In 2006, our first outside acquisition propelled our brand portfolio to beyond a singular industry. Since then, we have grown our company to more than 20 brands in the footwear accessories, footcare, hosiery, outdoor, fitness and medical categories.
